Lowerhouse celebrate junior successes

LOWERHOUSE Cricket Club hold their junior presentation on November 16th, celebrating the achievements of the Under 9s (pictured, s) through to the third team.

There will be mementos for all those who represented the 13 junior teams, and medals for the following sides, who claimed honours during the season: The Under 11 Bears were cup winners; the Under 11 Cubs runners-up in the Third Division and Under 11 Koalas runners-up in the Fourth Division.

The Under 13 Lions were champions, as were the Under 13 T in League Two.

The Under 15 Sharks were runners-up, and the Under 15 Dolphins runners-up in League Three.

There will be individual awards for performances for all 14 teams, and special memorial trophies for individual achievement.

• DUE to popular demand, Elite Cricket Coaching is running a fourth Cricket Academy, starting tomorrow at the Spirit of Sport Centre in Burnley.

The aim of the 10-week course is to maintain and develop skills over the winter period for cricketers comfortable with their basic technique.

The Academy Coaching, led by experienced and highly qualified Elite coaches, will focus on working with boys and girls who are regular club and district cricketers, and potential county players, focusing on technical improvements, tactical awareness, psychological match preparation and fitness and nutrition.
