A plethora of teams representing businesses from the surrounding area, including Mortgage 65, McParland & Partners, and Petty Estate Agents, took to the greens and fairways in the name of charity and fundraising.

“Richard Farnworth, Director at Farnworth Rose based in Nelson and Barrowford, said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part in the event for making it such a great day. We are delighted to raise money for the Pendleside Hospice.”

The day involved a range of competitions including a ‘Beat the Pro’, where a £5 charity donation offered players the chance to find out if they had the skill to beat the shot of a local PGA Professional.

A grand total of £1,070 was raised with Farnworth Rose defending their title as their team, including director Richard Farnworth, claimed their third successive ‘Serious Hackers Invitational’ trophy.
