Burnley look to build on derby win against Nelson

Champions Burnley will look to keep up the fine start to the defence of their Fosters Lancashire League title on Sunday.

Bharat Tripathi’s men host Nelson having knocked Lowerhouse off the top of the table with a big seven-wicket derby victory last time out.

Jhangir Liaqat took a career best 7-32 before Vishal Tripathi hit an unbeaten 81, a knock that included eight fours and two sixes.

It saw them leapfrog their near rivals into second in the table with the West Enders, who will look to bounce back when they travel to Colne this weekend, now third.

Both sides are also in Twenty 20 action tonight, Friday, with Burnley hosting Ramsbottom and Lowerhouse welcoming Rishton.
