Burnley keeper Ryan earns call for Russia tournament

RUSSIA BOUND: Ryan Fulton

RUSSIA BOUND: Ryan Fulton

FORMER Shuttleworth College pupil Ryan Fulton has been named in the Scotland Under 16s squad for a youth international tournament in Russia next month.

The 16-year-old goalkeeper - a scholar at Liverpool - was selected by former Ajax and Huddersfield Town midfielder Dean Gorre for the Besov Cup, where Scotland will play three matches at Zenit St Petersburg Academy, against FC Lokomotiv on June 6th, FC Krasnodar on the 7th and Zenit on the 9th.

Ryan last week completed the Three Peaks Challenge as part of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, helping raise money for his old junior club Fulledge Colts.
