BURNLEY travelled to Enfield on Sunday looking to repeat the victory against the hosts from a couple of weeks ago - but their Accrington opponents ran out comfortable winnners.
Steve Brunt’s side were looking well placed as they started their batting and eased to 75-1 from their first 23 overs.
Qasim Ali continued his good run, scoring 18, Dan Pickup made 24 and Bharat Tripathi 19 to set a good platform.
But disaster struck as first Pickup was run out following a mix up, and then next ball Tripathi was caught at deep mid wicket.
This changed the whole momentum of a the game as Enfield professional Werner Coetsee gained the upper hand and finished with figures of 6-45 to leave Burnley a dissapointing 112 all out.
In reply Enfield started aggressively and rode their luck and were 49-0 off 10 overs.
Professional Adnan Rasool took the wicket of Sagwat Hussain, caught on the boundary, but the runs continued with Coetsee at a run a ball 24 until he skied a catch to Ali off Tripathi.
Enfield ran out easy winners with only two wickets down and 24 overs left.
