Blessed Trinity won the 2013 Craig Heaton Memorial Year 7 Inter-Schools’ Trophy at Lowerhouse.

The competition was played on a round robin format, with Blessed Trinity winning all their games and Sir John Thursby finishing runners-up. Unity and Shuttleworth also competed.

The final was played in glorious cricket weather, and for only the fourth time in 23 years, the final was played during the summer school term.

The final matched the weather and Blessed Trinity and Sir John Thursby played out a close and entertaining game, with good all round skills from both teams. Blessed Trinity emerged as the winners for the 13th time.

Sir John Thursby batted first and scored 221, but Blessed Trinity won by scoring 242, only after the scores being tied going into the final over.

Jim Heaton presented the trophy and medals, with thanks to all teachers and to Lowerhouse CC,
