Padiham skipper Callum Clarke admits its “all to play for” in their bid for promotion.
The Arbories side lost to Cherry Tree on Saturday to drop out of the top two in Section B of the Houldsworth Solicitors Ribblesdale League, behind Euxton and Salesbury.
And with only two sides promoted to Section A, the battle is heating up nicely ahead of tomorrow’s trip to champions Clitheroe.
Clarke said: “It’s turned into something of a three or four-horse race now.
“Euxton won again on Saturday, but we have a game in hand on them, and have them still to play, so it is still all to play for.
“We have Clitheroe and Settle coming up, which is obviously going to be difficult, but we have nothing to lose in those games.
“We we have shown we can get results against Section A teams on numerous occasions – any team can beat another on their day.”
Read, meanwhile, return to action with a trip to Salesbury.
