Lowerhouse fourths started their warm-up campaign with an unusual quirk in their game against Radcliffe.
The West Enders totalled 216-8, with Dec Stansfield making 43, James Wheatcroft 23, Jack Moodie 22 and Danny Simm and Ethan Laraway 21 each.
But, incredibly, the innings also saw an all-run six, with no overthrows, by Simm and Robson Elliott.
Radcliffe were dismissed for 96, as Alex Claridge-Ingham took 4-23, Stansfield 2-14, Wheatcroft 2-14 and Moodie 2-25.
The side then lost to Rishton by two wickets, after posing 140-9. Laraway hit 31 and Wheatcroft made 19, while there were wickets for Stansfield (3-9) and Moodie (2-20).
Skipper Dec Bailey hit his maiden century as the seconds earned a 133-run win over Todmorden.
Bailey finished unbeaten on 104 not out in a total of 302-5, with Ben Heap adding 77, Ben Gorton 39 and Lewis Marsden 38 not out.
Todmorden were restricted to 172-9 in reply as Tom Bridge took 3-13 and Joseph Halstead 3-22.
The seconds also beat Accrington in the cup by 140 runs, posting 292-8 with Heap (88), Phil Haggerty (60), Gorton (46), Josh Lavin (30) and Bailey (27) among the runs.
Accrington were dismissed for 152 with wickets for Jamie Woodall (3-26), Joe Halstead (3-35) and Rhys Woodworth (2-24).
