Masked knifeman robs Padiham newsagents

A MASKED knife-wielding robber left a n female shop worker traumastised after a terrifying raid at a Padiham newsagents.
The shocking incident took place at 5-15 p.m. yesterday when the balaclava-clad raider stormed into Bobbie's Newsagents in Hapton Road.

He threatened the terrified 57-year-old worker with a knife before ordering her to fill a carrier bag with money from the till.

After leaving the shop with £35 he was seen making off down a back street between Oat Street and Wheat Street towards Thompson Street, removing the balaclava.

He was wearing white trainers, stonewashed coloured jeans and a black tracksuit jacket. The shop worker was not injured but was left badly shaken by the ordeal.
