A JUDGE hit out after a proceeds-of-crime hearing found a man had made £388 from growing cannabis.
Judge Andrew Woolman said the proceeds-of-crime investigation must have cost more to conduct than the money recovered and added: "It's a farce."

Burnley Crown Court heard it was found that John Gabriel (34) had benefited by £388.

The judge ordered Gabriel, of Berkeley Crescent, Padiham, to pay £147 within two months or serve seven days in jail in default.
