LETTER: Up the Clarets!

Have your say

THE Clarets Trust regrets the departure of manager Eddie Howe and his deputy, Jason Tindall. We recognise that this is for personal and family reasons and we wish them well on their return to Bournemouth.

During his time at Burnley Eddie has very much moved to a younger team and encouraged youth development. Gawthorpe is now in better shape than it has been for many years. It is a pity he has not been able to complete the task on which he had embarked – or secure the promotion all we Clarets wish to see.

The Trust, along with all other fans, hope the Board are soon able to secure a new manager to take the club forward. It will not be an easy task and as always there will be many false rumours.

The Championship this season is full of many good teams but it is not too late for the Clarets to make a promotion bid. With the right manager and the solid backing of all the fans we can still do it!

Up the Clarets.
