LETTER: Coalition Government misleading us

CAN this Coalition Government please stop misleading the general public?

The professional benefit claimants will find their way around all efforts to cut theirs. The people it will hit when imposing the proposed one per cent cap will be the new unemployed who have lost their jobs or school leavers who cannot find work.

The Government says it is wrong to give bigger rises to claimants.

This is the misleading that is being carried out.

If you are on Jobseekers Allowance and receive a two per cent pay rise, you will receive a £1.40 increase.

Meanwhile, someone on the minimum wage with a one per cent rise will receive an extra £2.60.
