LETTER: Burnley Bondholders are missing the point

Burnley Bondholders, a story which appeared in the Express on Friday – seemed to be missing the point.

Are they not supposed to be supporting and promoting Burnley? Why have they not shown confidence in Burnley and its business by appointing a Burnley PR firm? Surely Burnley Bondholders should be setting an example, leading the way and committing to working with Burnley businesses. Instead they go to Nelson. The story also announces, what will be news to many, that Burnley has a “brand manager”.

In these times of austerity and public sector cuts, some may think this is one council post too many.
