Churches had nothing to do with hog roast

“Hog Roast” Vernon has come out of hibernation again.

Unfortunately for him his source of information is incorrect and uneducated.

The hog roast was organised by Pendle Forest Sports Club in conjunction with its beer festival on their own facilities. It had nothing to do with our three “wonderful” Christian Churches in Fence.

However our churches did contribute to the Fence United’s village fete which was a great success, raising money for the children’s play area in the village. Congratulations to all concerned.

A special mention to the organisers of the barbecue for their delicious beef sandwiches.

A mention should also be given to the delegation from St Anne’s Church who have travelled to Uganda to visit the school which they have supported for the under-privileged children.

If Mr Stuttard has anything to say about the ethics of the churches, he should contact them directly.
