That was the question inquiring students from Burnley's Holy Trinity Primary School had to find the answer to in a whodunnit style challenge.

Based around the theme of Frozen the pupils learned all about the Antarctica which led to the debate about who was responsible for killing the krills, the tiny fishes that live there.

Numbers have dropped rapidly and to find out who is behind this the children took on the role of an animal and had to defend themselves against the charge of Did you kill the Krill?

Dressed as an array of animals and a human, including a whale, seal, squid and also a fisherman, the trial prompted a lively debate with the final verdict being that all the characters took some responsibility for the crime.

Prizes were awarded for the best debating skills and fancy dress costume.
