A teenage couple who fled Stonyhurst College at dead of night are being sought in the Dominican Republic holiday paradise.

The 16-year-old sixth-form boarders at the historic Jesuit college – named unofficially as Edward and Indira – were seen boarding a plane at Manchester Airport at about 3 am on Monday after sneaking away around midnight. The exclusive Jesuit college, where boarders’ fees are more than £29,000 a year, alerted police the same day.

The pair are said to have told friends they had booked tickets online and were going for a romantic break in the Caribbean.
