Vote for Towneley Hall to host Museums At Night event

Towneley Hall

Towneley Hall

Burnley residents are being urged to help the town’s bid to work with a top artist.

Towneley Hall is competing against three other major arts venues in Edinburgh, Warwick and Berwick-on-Tweed to work alongside contemporary artist Alex Hartley for a free event with Museums at Night 2014.

If the Hall is successful, Towneley will play a huge part in the Museums at Night project on May 15th.

Coun. John Harbour, Burnley Council’s Executive member for leisure and culture, said: “As usual Burnley is up there competing with cities and major galleries to host this event, to have got this far is proof of the cultural offer our town has.

“I’d urge everyone to vote, tell their family and friends to vote, and let’s see Towneley Hall yet again recognised nationally.”

Burnley residents can vote at www.culture24.org.uk/places-to-go/museums-at-night/art462286-Connect10-Vote-Alex-Hartley until January 28th. Find out more at www.museumsatnight.org.uk and Towneley Hall www.burnley.gov.uk/towneley.
