FESTIVAL-GOERS attending Saturday’s Towneley Live event in Towneley Park are being urged to follow advice on parking.
Towneley Holmes Road and Park Bridge Road will be closed to all vehicles (except for access) from 9 a.m. and will remain closed until the early hours of Sunday. Deerpark Road will be open but only for access to the garden centre.
To ensure that Towneley Park is free of vehicles and to assist the crowds arriving and leaving the park, Todmorden Road will be closed from its junction with Oxford Road to Parliament Street from 9-30 a.m. on Saturday through to 1 a.m. on Sunday. Residents within this area will be able to get some access.
Anyone who is dropping off and then picking up concert-goers should follow the signs to Turf Moor, which is the designated area, and everyone will be directed there.
A one-way system will be introduced with vehicles accessing off Harry Potts Way and exiting onto Belvedere Road, there will be no parking or waiting in Harry Potts Way.
Any motorist wishing to park before attending the concert can either pre-book a space by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org or telephoning 07875484369 to reserve a space, the service will also be available on the day of the event.
