ACTIVE fund-raisers took on a climbing challenge to raise money for a veteran charity.

The team, made up of staff and volunteers from SALUTE, completed the Three Peaks Challenge, on May 26th and 27th, in under 10 hours.

Three of the walkers came in at just over eight hours.

So far the Three Peaks Challenge has raised more than £2,000 with money still coming in.

Donations were made from local businesses, including food and water from the Padiham Co-operative, soup and sandwiches from Rhode Island coffee shop, and a herbal life protein programme from Lyn Heaton.

To make a donation visit saluteyou.org or write to SALUTE, Room 34/35, 62-64 Yorkshire Street, Burnley, BB11 3BT.

SALUTE is a non- profit organisation that supports veterans upon their return to civilian life.
