Sports and community groups across Burnley are being offered a massive range of facilities.

With the launch of The Hub based at Hameldon Community College’s campus in Coal Clough Lane, local organisations are able to benefit from using the state-of-the-art resources outside of school hours.

A huge range of sporting, meeting and functional facilities will be avaliable in the evenings and school holidays at highly competitive rates for the community to take full advantage of and enjoy.

Ann Tyman, extended services development officer at the school, said: “Many of these facilities were already available, now they will all be accessible via a new dedicated website, outlining the entire range of facilities available including prices.

“We also hope very soon to offer both grass and all-weather outdoor facilities. Some of the resources will be unique to this part of Burnley and we aim to make all of them much more affordable than existing facilities elsewhere. Another benefit to the community is that all surplus revenue will go to supporting college activities.”
