'Michael Jackson appears in my ultrasound scan' - Burnley mum-to-be
MUM-TO-BE Abbie Drinkwater's ultrasound scan was a real thriller.
She and her partner Ed Daniel stared in disbelief when the grainy image revealed the figure of their musical idol Michael Jackson watching over their unborn child.
The uncanny spectre jumped out at them from the picture, complete with his "Thriller" jacket, rolled up sleeves and trademark white glove.
The singer died at the end of June, the same day avid fans Abbie and Ed discovered 18-year-old Abbie was pregnant. If they have a boy they may call the child Michael Jack.
The baby's first ultrasound scan was taken at Burnley General Hospital.
"We only noticed a few days after the actual scan", said Abbie, who lives in Emily Street.
"The more we looked at it the more I saw the details. It actually looks like a person and now all I can see is Michael Jackson.
"I just thought it was really strange. It's just like a ghost and the face is looking towards the baby. It's the same face shape, hair and jacket, and even his white glove is there."
Family and friends have also spotted the striking resemblance with the late King of Pop.
"They said it really looks like Michael Jackson, even before I mentioned it to them.He died on June 25th and that's when I found out I was expecting. It's weird, really weird. I don't believe in reincarnation at all, but it does look like he is watching him," said Abbie.
Both families are huge Michael Jackson fans.
"I've always liked him because my parents brought me up with his music. Ed's mum and stepdad were really upset when he died, so both our families are really big fans," said Abbie.
Abbie and Ed, who say "Thriller", "Man in the Mirror" and "Billie Jean" are among their all-time favourites, will find out in a month whether they will be the proud parents of a boy or a girl. The baby is expected in March.
