Storm damage across Burnley

Strong winds and rain led to a busy night across Burnley for Lancashire County Council’s Highways team.

The organisation

• Villiers Street, Burnley – tree limb blocking footway and carriageway. Removed Monday night;

• Piccadilly Road/Starkie Street, Burnley – tree blocking footway and carriageway. Removed Monday night;

• Pheasantford Green, Burnley – tree branch removed from carriageway to grass verge. Will be removed Wednesday;

• Marsden Road, Burnley – tree branches removed from carriageway to grass verge. Will be removed Wednesday;

• Ridge Avenue, Burnley - tree branches removed from carriageway to grass verge. Will be removed tomorrow Wednesday;

• Cotton Row, Clowbridge – highway flooding. Water running off adjacent fields. Removed leaves from gullies to release standing water.
