Store thief helped herself to haul of food

A thief, who pinched food worth £36.08 from a convenience store, was given a 12 month conditional discharge.

Lisa Anne Duckworth (35) who has had drug issues, took the haul from the Spar in Brunshaw Road, Burnley, on Sunday, April 16th, the town's magistrates were told.

The defendant, who has a criminal record for stealing going back to about 2000, admitted theft from a shop.

She must pay £36.08 compensation.
