Delicious cakes, creative craftsmanship and smiling faces combined to make a long-standing church fair a great success.
The 39th arts and crafts fair at St John the Evangelist Church in Worsthorne has been running all week, raising funds for the church.
One of the organisers, Mrs Barbara Wharton, said: “The fair has been a huge success this year and we’ve had more numbers through the door than last year.
“There have been all manner of different stalls and refreshments for visitors, and the cafe has done a great trade in cakes and tea.”
Soloists from the church choir have provided musical entertainment in the evenings and this evening (Friday) the whole church choir will perform.
Mrs Wharton added: “Goods for sale on the stalls have included jewellery, organic jams, cards, woodwork and aprons.
“Word is obviously getting around because we had a coach trip from Bury.”
The fair is open until Sunday at 8-30pm.
