A FATHER-OF-FIVE with a “heart of gold” who was tragically found dead in a skip last week will be finally laid to rest.
Jason Marren (32) who is also known by the surname Hosker, had been missing for several days before workers found his body at the Whinney Hill waste disposal site in Accrington last Monday.
The funeral of the former St Theodore’s and Ivy Bank High School pupil is set to take place on Tuesday at 11 a.m.
There will be Requiem Mass at St Teresa’s RC Church before burial at Burnley Cemetery.
Tributes from devastated family and friends have been paid to Mr Marren whose children are Joshua (12), Jade (11), Brandan (10), Leighton (9) and Amber (2).
His mother Veronica, siblings Bernadette and Philip, and stepdad Brian Whittaker described him as a “gentle giant” who was a loving son and a caring father.
His father, Alan Hosker, said he was a lovely person with a “heart of gold” who would do anything for anyone.
Mr Marren’s partner of five years Jade Shapcott (20) said the death of her soulmate had left a huge hole in her life.
The couple, who had daughter Amber together, were due to marry in November.
Mr Marren’s death is being treated as “unexplained” by police who said any third party involvement has been ruled out.
