Members of Burnley Scooter Club have raised an impressive £2,018 for stillbirth and neonatal death charity Sands at their annual pyjama run,

The event saw members of the club dress in their best pyjamas before setting off from the George IV pub in Padiham Road and riding through town to visit Burnley General Hospital’s Mother and Baby Unit.

On their way to the unit the riders stopped at various businesses and pubs around the town, and the police and fire stations, where staff had sponsored the pyjama run.

The event was also supported by Burnley Motorcycle Club.

Terry Grogan, who was the organiser of the event, said: “I’d like to thank every rider who took part in our annual charity run from Burnley Scooter Club and the various other clubs including Burnley Motorcycle Club, and all those who donated to the charity auction.
