A batch of black pudding from The Real Lancashire Black Pudding Co Ltd has been recalled due to a labelling error that has resulted in a potential health risk to consumers.
The batch of black pudding slices were marked with a use-by date of December 31st 2016. The correct use-by date should have been December 31st 2015. The company has warned that consuming the product after its intended use-by date could present a risk to health.
Consumers are advised that if they have bought one of the affected 230g packs, from batch code 4204, they should not consume the product. Instead, customers should return the product to the store from which they purchased it for a full refund.
