Secondary school pupils got a taste of the world of work when they visited a gym.
The students from Marsden Heights Community College in Brierfield called in at Xercise4Less in Burnley.
Local company The Job Junction organised the visit on business engagement to help the young people gain an understanding on healthy lifestyles and working in the world of sport and leisure.
Karen Jackson, from the Job Junction, said: “The 16 students are currently studying GCSE PE and are looking at a career in the sport and leisure industry.
“They met with the experts at Xercise4less and worked with the senior PT Evan Parker.
“The idea of the trip was to help raise the aspirations of students who wish to work in the world of sport.
“They got the chance to try different styles and techniques in exercise, that looked at improving strength, stamina and speed.
“This was spread over two-day period and finished with a questions and answer sessions.”
