Pendle Wavelengths re-opens its doors to the public

Pendle Wavelengths reopened today.

Following a fire in August, the facility has been closed. But now the inside of the Leeds Road leisure centre has been cleaned by specialists and professionally painted ready to open its doors again to the public.

The normal timetable resumed at 7am, allowing early morning swimmers and gym-users to get back into their routines.

While the pool, gym and dance studio opened today, the junior gym remains closed as it is being used for access to the gym and dance studio. A temporary junior timetable has been in place at Seedhill Athletics and Fitness Centre and Pendle Wavelengths.

Inside Spa’s nail bar and treatment rooms have also reopened, but the Spa itself will not open until some time in the New Year.

Centre Manager Quammer Iqbal takes us on a guided tour of the reopened facility.
