One of the biggest nights in Padiham’s calendar will take place next Friday. November 28th.
The annual Christmas lights switch on takes place in the town centre from 5-30pm onwards and a host of attractions include a funfair, Santa’s grotto and festive charity market.
The celebrations will kick off at 6-15pm on Padiham Town Hall steps when the choir from Padiham Primary School will sing along with teenage songstress Grace O’Malley. The Burnley Alliance Silver Band will accompany them.
Father Christmas is due to arrive on his sleigh at 6-45pm and there will be a dedication of the crib by the Rev. Mark Jones before the big switch on takes place at 7pm by the Mayor of Padiham, Coun. Howard Hudson.
It will be followed by a fireworks display. Organised by Padiham Town Council, there will be hot food and candyfloss available.
