A WOMAN was left fighting for her life after a fierce blaze tore through her Padiham home.
The 50-year-old was found slumped in an upstairs bedroom at the Windermere Road house at 11-30 p.m. last night.
Brave fire crews dragged the unconscious woman out seconds before she stopped breathing.
She was given emergency treatment at the scene before being rushed to the Royal Blackburn Hospital where she is said to be in a critical condition.
Fire chiefs say it is too early to rule out arson and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
