Real ale enthusiasts packed out Padiham Town Hall as the town’s second ever beer festival went down a treat.
Hundreds of ale lovers ventured out for the two-day event, enjoying a selection of 35 beers and ciders laid on by Ramsbottom’s award-winning Irwell Works Brewery as well as entertainment by the Flat Cap Pack.
The Mayor of Padiham, Coun, Howard Hudson hailed the festival’s success and promised it would be back again next year.
“It’s a fantastic event,” he said. “I look around and see a lot of people I know but it’s also nice to look around and see a lot of people that I don’t know. It’s events like this which bring people into the town and that can only be a good thing. It’s definitely something we are going to be holding every year now without doubt.”
