Mary was the Lowerhouse Mills Club door-lady for 40 years, having joined as a newly-married 19-year-old. “She goes back a long time,” said her son Charles. “She was on the committee up until two years ago.”

Mary will be buried with her husband at Burnley Cemetery on Thursday, September 29th.
