A BURNLEY man living in a “nuisance” house has been banned from allowing any visitors into his home.

Peter Heffernan (52), of Grange Street, was served with a police closure notice after a string of complaints by neighbours about drug use, noise, intimidation and rowdy behaviour at the address.

He appeared at Reedley Magistrates’ Court as police applied for an Anti-Social Behaviour Closure Order which would have seen him kicked out and the property boarded up for three months.

Magistrates were forced to adjourn the case but ruled that in the interim Heffernan must not allow any visitors into his home. He is due before the court on Wednesday to face the Anti-Social Behaviour Closure Order hearing.
