A former mill site in Burnley could be transformed with 25 new homes.
Developers want to turn the old Wood Top Mill land into a new housing development. Plans are for 25 properties, parking and green spaces on the brownfield site near the Moorhouses Brewery off Viliers Street.
Development chiefs at Indigo Planning Ltd, which produced a planning report on the proposed development, said: “The site benefits from good access to local services and amenities including schools, nursery schools, supermarkets, a library, bus stops, a bus station, a train station and hospitals.
“Careful consideration will be paid to the use of materials and building styles to ensure the development is appropriate for its location and respects the character of the surrounding area. Consideration will also be paid to the appearance of the nearby Keepmoat schemes within South-West Burnley to ensure the schemes complement one another.”
An application for planning permission has been submitted to Burnley Council.
