Brunside Mill

A former Burnley mill is set to go under the hammer for £100,000 at auction.

The old Brunside Mill in Parker Street will be sold off by auctioneers at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium this month.

The vacant three-storey converted mill, which was formerly a carpet shop, comes with a showroom and warehouse. It is one of three landmark town centre buildings put up for sale by Pugh and Company.

The former Original Mega Pound Superstore has also been put on the market at a price of £80,000. Auctioneers will try and find a buyer for the three-storey shop at 164-168 Lower St James’s Street. The ex-discount store is 5,863 sq.ft and is situated next door to the Cross Keys pub near Westgate.

Buyers could also snap up the bright orange Floors-2-Go building in Royle Road which has been put up for sale.

The colourful premises, situated in the shadow of Burnley’s historic viaduct, could fetch up to £175,000.

The future of the three Burnley buildings will be decided when the auction takes place at the Etihad on February 27th.
