A MAN who was found dead in a Burnley shop doorway in November died of natural causes.

Mr Mark Silverwood (50), of no fixed address, had travelled from Nuneaton in the West Midlands with a friend to trace relatives in Burnley.

The pair decided to sleep in the doorway of The Original Hoody Guy in Croft Street, opposite Burnley Bus Station, but when the friend awoke at 6-25 a.m. on November 12th last year he was unable to wake Mr Silverwood.

An inquest was opened to find out how he died and East Lancashire Coroner Mr Richard Taylor recorded a verdict of natural causes.
