A group of friends who refer to themselves as the “Mad Cows” have raised an impressive £1,300 for Pendleside Hospice.

The group organised a tropical ball where guests dressed up in tropical outfits and danced the night away at Burnley League Club.

There was also a singer and a raffle.

Sammi Bracewell, who is a fund-raiser at Pendleside Hospice, said: “Many thanks to all the ladies involved for their support and for raising such a brilliant amount of money for the hospice.

“All the money raised will help the hospice to continue to provide specialist palliative care to the people of Burnley and Pendle.”
