The fab four, who are Kathryn Ellidge, Susan Boden, Kim Atkinson and Lesley Beckett, decided to throw a Bad Taste Ball for Pendleside Hospice and their efforts raised the terrific sum of £1,638.

Held at Burnley League Club, there were fun, games, raffles and prizes for the best bad taste outfit. DJ Ryan Smith, who plays at every event for the Mad Cows, was on hand to spin the discs.

And plans are already being made for next year's event which will be a hoedown.

Vikki Bassek, fundraiser for Pendleside Hospice, said; “Many thanks to all the ladies involved for their support and for raising such a brilliant amount of money for the hospice.

"All the money raised will help the hospice to continue providing specialist palliative care to the people of Burnley and Pendle.”
