A lorry which crashed on the slip road of the M65 near Padiham has caused traffic chaos.
The HGV overturned where Junction 8 of the motorway meets the A56 Edenfield Bypass around 12 noon.
Police said the driver escaped unharmed but a large amount of diesel spilled across the carriageway.
Officers have been forced to shut off part of the Edenfield Bypass between the roundabout at Junction 8 of the M65 and the Huncoat junction of the A56.
Police believe the stretch of road could be closed for several hours while the lorry is recovered and the fuel spill is cleared.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and a diversion has been put in place.
