An eight-year-old Burnley boy with a big heart has raised more than £300 for Pendleside Hospice.

Keen cyclist Thomas Inckle, who is a member of the Cycle Sport Pendle club, took part in the 13-mile Great Manchester Cycle Ride with his dad Chris.

Mrs Jackie Inckle, Thomas’s mum, said: “Thomas did exceptionally well, he completed the whole 13 miles and in his words ‘it was easy.’”

Thomas added: “The bike ride was easy but I had a good time.”

Vikki Haydock, hospice fund-raiser, said: “We’re seeing an increasing number of children bringing money into the hospice which they have raised by taking part in all sorts of activities. Thomas did very well in his event and has raised a fantastic amount for us.”
