Padiham plans Forties weekend
Committee members of Padiham on Parade took part in a bucket collection at Burnley Cricket Club prior to the Championship clash between Burnley and Middlesbrough at Turf Moor.
Fans of both team generously donated to the Padiham on Parade event which will take place in Padiham over the weekend of June 24th-26th.
The purpose is to have a ‘Forties style weekend’ including dances, reenactments, parades, music and more which is the first event of its kind in Padiham. Padiham on Parade will be the borough’s way of marking Armed Forces Week 2016 and will encourage members of the public to actively engage in a celebration of the UK’s Armed Forces and raise awareness and enhance the reputation of the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force.
