A former sports reporter from Padiham is hoping for no wuff times when she runs in the Manchester Marathon for a dog’s charity.
This will be the 16th marathon for keen runner Dany Robson, who spent several years covering Accrington Stanley. She is running in the marathon on Sunday, April 6th, to raise money for Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary in Edenfield where she is a volunteer dog walker.
Dany said: “I was 26 when I did my first marathon and I raised around £350 then Bleakholt and this year I am hoping to raise the same amount.
“Bleakholt do such a good job looking after a whole range of animals.
“It is so nice when you walk a dog one week and return a week later to find it has been re-homed. I want to help give them the best they can while they are being cared for before they find their ‘forever homes.’”
