The first ever Panama Joe's reunion night was a hit with party goers packing into the Jungle nightclub to catch up with old friends and re-live some happy times.

Owned and run by Mick Cookson in Hammerton Street, Panama Joe's hit the headlines when it played host to a bucking bronco which customers were invited to try. It also hit the headlines when Mick invited drinkers to battle each other wearing sumo wrestling suits.

Known for its outrageous cocktails, the full menu was on offer at the reunion last Friday night.

Mick, who now owns and runs the Jungle nightspot, hosted the event and said he hoped it could happen again to tempt more people to come into Burnley town centre for a night out.
