A MOTORCYCLIST has suffered a broken spine in a Padiham road collision.

The man broke his back in two places in the road collision which happened in Dryden Street last Monday.

The accident happened at the junction with Victoria Road when a blue Ford Focus collided with a blue Yamaha 125cc motorcycle.

The man was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital where he continues to receive treatment for spinal injuries and a broken right arm.

Sgt Claire Pearson, from Pennine Road Policing Unit, said: “I would appeal to anybody that witnessed this collision to get in touch with PC 1191 Neil Goodison at the Road Policing Unit, by ringing 101.”
