The 'best Italian coffee shop in England '“ Burnley's Bellissimo '“ is hoping to defend its crown this year.

The Parker Lane eaterie, recognised at the English Italian Awards last October, has again been shortlisted in the same category with chef and owner Giovanni Scibetta also in the running for best chef.

His wife and co-owner Lynn said: “We are in the final 20 for the awards again, which is a great honour for us and for Burnley.

“We just need the public’s help now in voting for us.”
