Funeral of tragic canal death Robbie (11)

Waiting for Video...

A cheeky and loving schoolboy whose smile lit up the room wherever he went was laid to rest as hundreds of people turned out to pay their respects.

Robbie Williamson’s funeral took place at All Saints with St John the Baptist Church, Habergham, 10 days after the fun-loving 11-year-old died when he fell from a pipe over the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

There was standing room only in the packed church, and outside in the grounds, as Robbie’s white coffin was brought in after arriving in a horse-drawn carriage.
