A blaze which destroyed a lean-to outside a Burnley house is being treated as “suspicious”.
Two fire crews were called out to extinguish the flames after rubbish and cardboard in the shelter were set ablaze at 6-37pm.
Acting crew manager Kevin Birchall, of Burnley Fire Station, said: “Deliberate fires can cost lives. They also put a strain on fire service resources that may be required elsewhere. If you suspect any deliberate fires call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800555111.”
Burnley fire crews were called out to Raglan Road around 9pm to another deliberate fire in an open space.
