Final goodbye to popular Claret

Former Clarets gathered to say their final goodbyes to former team-mate and friend Arthur Bellamy.

The popula former player who died last week aged 71 was laid to rest in Worsthorne following a service at a packed St John the Evangelist Church.

Fans lined Harry Potts Way as the funeral cortege passed Turf Moor on its way to Worsthorne.

Former players inlcuding Jimmy McIlroy, Brian Flynn and George Oghani, as well as former manager Stan Ternent were among the mourners.

Friend and former Claret Martin Dobson made a touching eulogy.
