Couple hospitalised after Brierfield motorcycle smash

A COUPLE have been rushed to hospital after a serious motorcycle crash.

The incident happened at 11-30am today in Colne Road at the junction of Chapel Street and involved a Vauxhall Astra and a motorbike.

The man and woman on the bike were taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital. The female driver of the car was shaken but uninjured.

The road was closed for three hours while police carried out an investigation.
